Guenther Steiner reveals that Haas F1 will most likely come up with the first upgrade package for the VF-22 in Hungary. What is striking is that this will immediately be the last upgrade for the American team's 2022 car.

Strong start and delayed upgrade

Haas F1 got off to a great start in Bahrain in 2022 with an exceptional fifth place from Kevin Magnussen. Two further points finishes followed, but that's where it ended since the fourth race of 2022.

The first major upgrade kept being postponed. This one was finally supposed to come in France, but this moment, too, is off. Instead, Haas will probably come up with the first and final upgrade of its car in Hungary, the last race before the summer break. "I said France, but maybe it’s Hungary because we took a step back because we wanted to check something else in the wind tunnel," Steiner is quoted by The Race.

Haas sets sights on 2023

Steiner says the car should make a big step forward and look very different. He added: "[Then] we shift to next year’s car, no further upgrades." So, just like last season, Haas decided to make an early switch to next season's car.
