Kees van de Grint is enjoying the title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Yet there are also things that irritate him in the championship. Team bosses Christian Horner and Toto Wolff have had a verbal battle alongside the track all season.

"I think that's terrible. I think it's tacky. And then marshals are insulted. It is childish", Van de Grint tells the Dutch branch of Motorsport.com. According to the Dutchman Red Bull should also not be too concerned with Mercedes' rear wing.

"Let each one deal with their own material. Red Bull had a reputation for always having a bad season start and then getting better with the development of the car. That's a bit disappointing now, so I think there's more than enough to sort out."

Van de Grint annoyed

Van de Grint thinks it's a shame that the team bosses are getting so carried away with each other this season. According to him, they should focus more on the on-track battle between Verstappen and Hamilton.

"We are having a fantastic season. We have two great drivers who actually declassify the rest of the field. Fantastic, that's motorsport. We watch motorsport, don't we, and not this sort of thing? When I hear terms that I don't want to repeat, that annoys me as well. I find that very unfortunate", says Van de Grint.
