The FIA ruled prior to the Qatar Grand Prix that Max Verstappen was not at fault in Brazil. It was a great relief for Christian Horner who saw the acquittal coming.

Toto Wolff stated at the press conference that he expected the FIA's verdict, but wanted it to be clear where the boundaries of the race control lie. According to Horner however, it has long been clear how the stewards act. "Those limits are the rules," he revealed in an interview with Ziggo Sport.

Horner then stressed that he thinks it's important that Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen show on the track who the best driver is. "I hope this battle will be decided on the track, not with the stewards or with a protest in Paris. We just want to fight for the titles. We have worked very hard for this and we want to win on the track."

Mercedes and Red Bull bicker on

Meanwhile, however, the battle behind the scenes continues. Red Bull Racing claim that Mercedes are acting against the rules with their rear wing. This week they presented new evidence to prove their case. Wolff claims his team is following the rules and is not worried about it.
