Hamilton presents special Senna tribute helmet for Brazilian GP

Lewis Hamilton has shown off a new helmet design for the Brazilian Grand Prix, featuring a prominent tribute to the legendary Ayrton Senna.

Lewis Hamilton will race with an Ayrton Senna-inspired helmet design at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix. Hamilton idolised Senna growing up and has run several tribute helmets over the years, featuring the late Brazilian's famous yellow, green and blue scheme. In addition to the iconic Senna colours, Hamilton has changed the 'Still I Rise' phrase on the back of his helmet to 'Still We Rise'. Hamilton also posted a special message about three-time World Champion Senna on social media ahead of the Grand Prix. "My greatest inspiration," Hamilton wrote, along with a graphic that depicts himself and Senna walking down the pit straight at Interlagos. "It was the way he raced, his passion for life and for the sport. But more than anything it was the way he faced alone a system that wasn't always kind to him. "May Aryton Senna's legacy live on forever, especially vibrant this weekend." Hamilton was previously given a replica helmet by Senna's family after he matched his hero's tally of 65 F1 pole positions back in 2017.
