Lewis Hamilton is going for "maximum attack" in the Turkish Grand Prix. The World Championship leader starts from 11th place after picking up a ten-place grid penalty for an engine change. The Brit keeps his eyes on the race win.

Strong Mercedes

It's rare in 2021 compared to previous years, but in Turkey, Mercedes seem to have the better car by some distance. Hamilton secured the fastest lap in qualifying, with his teammate getting pole position. Hamilton started from sixth last year so he has experience of overtaking in the opening few laps.

"I was already third ]early on]. It's so different with the track grip this year. My eyes are solely set on winning the race which will be very hard from 11th. But not impossible. Don't know what the weather will do so it's staying on my toes and making sure we'll deliver maximum attack tomorrow," Hamilton told Sky Sports

In his interview with the same medium, Lando Norris expected to be behind Hamilton after just a couple of laps. Hamilton isn't so sure.

"I have no clue. We will see. I'll take it one step at a time, it's a long race. If I can be higher up early on, then great. But I've got to stay out of trouble initially," Hamilton added.
