After a three-hour delay due to heavy rain around the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the Belgian Grand Prix is set to get underway. The race will begin at 18:17 local time, although rain still continues to hit the region. This means that the race will start under Safety Car conditions, with no guarantee of racing laps. The race will be a maximum of 60 minutes long, due to a three-hour time limit, of which two hours have already elapsed prior to race officials invoking a clause in the International Sporting Code to stop the timer. Full Wet tyres will be fitted for the start of the race, which will begin when the light goes green as the Safety Car exits the pit lane. The race is unlikely to yield full points, given that the one-hour time limit means the required 75% race distance won't be reached.
