Max Verstappen has joked that his blood pressure was in good shape following Lewis Hamilton's mistake at the standing start restart at the Azerbaijan GP. Verstappen was in the medical centre following his late-race puncture which saw him crash out of the race when on course for the win. "I had to go to the medical centre after my crash, but I couldn't get there that fast," Verstappen told Sky Sports. "I had to take the long route and when I was in bed and they were measuring my blood pressure, my phone suddenly started vibrating a lot. I thought 'what's going on' because I could of course hear in the background that they were racing again." Verstappen was receiving lots of messages on his phone because Hamilton had locked up at Turn 1 after briefly taking the lead. It was another big moment in the title race which meant Verstappen held onto his four-point lead in the Drivers' Championship. "On my phone I saw that Lewis had had a problem in the first corner," said Verstappen. "Then they probably had to measure his blood pressure again, the interviewer jokes. "Even after those messages, my blood pressure was still completely fine."
