Having never started or finished lower than fourth in Baku, Sebastian Vettel is hoping to continue that trend this weekend off the back of a stellar performance last time out in Monaco. The German seems to enjoy the Baku Street Circuit, even finding success when the track hosted the European Grand Prix back in 2016. Vettel finished second behind Nico Rosberg that day and the German is hoping to continue his strong performances at the track, though he doesn't have any real secrets when it comes to mastering the tricky layout. "I didn't know that, but I'll take it and hope we just continue the trend," Vettel told RacingNews365.com and other members of the media when asked about his success in Azerbaijan. "I don't know if there is a secret. I think it's a challenging circuit, very difficult to get everything right. It's a long lap as well. "So I don't know. I think the secret is you need to trust your car, you need to trust the circuit and have the full trust to be able to extract that extra bit because in the end it's still a street circuit. "There's not much room for errors. It's always a tricky weekend here with the wind that can be quite strong, so lots of things. I don't know if there's just there's not just one secret." Vettel and Aston Martin had their best performance of the season in Monaco, finishing fifth with teammate Lance Stroll coming home in eighth. When asked if the race was a breakthrough for the team, the German stated that will be determined in the next few races. "Depends what comes after, so it's up to us," Vettel added. "Certainly it's been a good weekend, we had both cars in the top 10 scoring points on Sunday. So certainly a positive weekend for us. "Somehow it's a bit similar here to a street circuit, but it's a very different one, it's a lot faster with a lot more straight line content. We are getting to grips more and more as a team with a car that we have. "It took us a little while, but it's also fair to say that it's very hard fought in the midfield and small things can make a difference, like we saw in Monaco to the positive and in other places to the negative. We just need to keep keep pushing and see what we can get in the next races."
