Max Verstappen damaged his front wing in the first free practice session, and the Dutchman sustained damage in the afternoon session as well. The kerbs are dangerous, so Red Bull Racing drivers will have to be careful during the rest of the weekend as there is a limited number of spare parts.

Damage to the front wing often costs two tenths and with differences with Mercedes looking minimal again this weekend, Red Bull can't really use that. Helmut Marko is aware of that, he revealed in an interview with ORF after Friday's practice.

Marko is confident

"It's getting a bit tight now in terms of spare parts. But I think we can solve it," said the Austrian advisor, who saw Verstappen and Serio Perez finish just ninth and tenth in FP2. "We look much worse than we are. In principle, I think, we are back in it. But we still have a few small things to sort out."

Verstappen was just over a tenth slower than Lewis Hamilton in his fast lap after two sectors. However, the Dutchman broke off his lap in the third and final sector after making a small slip.
