Internet explodes as Grosjean gets Mercedes seat: 'This is really great'
Romain Grosjean gets his promised test from Toto Wolff. The Frenchman will be in action for Mercedes during and after the French Grand Prix weekend, and can thus end his Formula One career with dignity.
Romain Grosjean had a long career in Formula 1. The Frenchman was not always loved for his remarkable actions, but in recent years he has commanded a lot of respect with his work for Haas. At the end of 2020, however, that partnership came to an end as Haas had to look for more money and therefore a different driver combination.
Mercedes gives Grosjean the chance
The Frenchman was unable to finish the season as he crashed at the Bahrain Grand Prix with huge consequences. The Frenchman climbed out of a fireball and was lucky to survive. Due to burns on his hands, he could not drive the last two races of the Formula 1 season.
After it became clear that Grosjean would see his F1 career end in this way, Toto Wolff made himself heard. The Mercedes team boss promised Grosjean a test for his team, so he could end his career with dignity. That test will now take place, which means Wolff has kept his word.
suits me well, doesn't it?
