Red Bull Racing started the second free practice with a small problem with Max Verstappen's brake system. The Dutchman came in on time, so Red Bull could immediately start working on the problem. Christian Horner explains to Sky Sports that the problem was solved quickly.

"It was a problem that has probably been solved now, so everything should be flawless again now," explained Horner. Verstappen's laps will be hugely important as the battle between Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton slowly begins to develop more and more.

Red Bull sees opportunities in Portugal

"The first two races were great. If we now have 21 races like that, it would be great for the sport, but a little less for us as teams. We now have two drivers competing directly against each other and that's obviously great". The F1 paddock also expects the two to be equally fast again in Portimao.

Whether Red Bull as a car will be above Mercedes in Portimao, Horner is not yet in a position to judge. "It's still difficult to say. The car is behaving as expected and both drivers are reasonably happy with it. The wind is very tricky though. There's a strong wind, but overall it's not very bad."
