After winning the world title in 2016, Nico Rosberg slammed the door on Formula 1 and motorsport in general. After more than four years, he still has no regrets, although he is embarking on a new motorsport adventure.

With his own team he is participating in the Extreme E Championship, for all-electric rally-raid cars. Rosberg will not get behind the wheel himself. "Firstly, I don't want to be a racing driver anymore because my new life as a sustainability entrepreneur is very fulfilling," he says in an interview with e-formel.de.

Rosberg thinks he is not good enough

Secondly, Rosberg thinks he has too little experience as a rally driver. He wants to win with his team and does not think he is capable of doing so himself. A form of modesty that colleagues Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen and Robert Kubica did not suffer from.

Furthermore, Rosberg still regularly acts as an analyst at F1 races. Even then, a return is not appealing to him. "Certainly not. I am very satisfied. I have no nostalgic feelings at all. I have achieved everything I wanted to achieve."
