The best seat on the grid has been released for the upcoming GP in Bahrain. Lewis Hamilton is infected with COVID19 and can't race, so someone else can compete in the Mercedes W11. F1 journalist Peter Windsor goes off the beaten track, but thinks the replacement should be sought as close to the team as possible.

Vandoorne and De Vries most obvious

Nico Hulkenberg, Stoffel Vandoorne and George Russell. These are a few of the names who could race for Mercedes in the second Grand Prix in Bahrain. Who will enter the W11 of Hamilton?

F1 journalist Windsor explores the possibilities in his YouTube vlog. The Brit begins: "The candidates... They have two good guys in Formula E, Stoffel Vandoorne and Nyck de Vries. I can imagine it will be one of those two. Although I would love to see Nico Hulkenberg in that car".

Are Williams and Racing Point  drivers in a good mood?

"At the same time, wouldn't it be great if Williams let Russell go for one race?" Windsor continues. "And Jack Aitken will replace him."

Windsor flirts with another interesting thought regarding Sergio Perez who won't be seen in F1 next year probably. "Or maybe Racing Point is saying: "We've ruined Perez's career, we're letting him go for one race to have some fun at Mercedes."
