The FIA Formula 3 field returned to the race tracks with Formula One's feeder series staging its last two-day post-season testing at Jerez on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The two-day post-race event took place on October 27-28 and provided the teams and drivers an opportunity to continue their preparations for the new season.

Testing on Tuesday consisted of two three-hour sessions beginning at 9am and 2pm (local time). Wednesday morning’s session also ran from 9am until 12pm, while the afternoon session took place between 1pm and 4pm.

The drivers ran on Pirelli’s medium compound tyre, with each car allocated six sets for the event.

After Roman Stanek topped yesterday's opening session, experience paid off for Jack Doohan, as the Australian finished fastest overall in the final 2020 FIA Formula 3 post-season test at Jerez. The Trident racer set the best time during a qualifying simulation in the morning session, lapping at 1:29.041, just 0.0019s faster than teammate Clement Novalak.

Jenzer Motorsport’s Calan Williams completed the top three but was nearly three tenths off the rapid Trident pairing. 15-year-old Jak Crawford finished as the highest rookie driver of the post- season test, posting the fourth fastest time.

The dominant team of the 2020 season, Prema ran an all-new line-up at Jerez. Dennis Hauger ended up sixht fastest while Oliver Rasmussen finishe down in 21th place. Ferrari’s two-time race winner Charles Leclerc’s brother Arthur also ran with Prema, finishing ninth fastest at the end of the day, completing only 60 laps.

The tests in Jerez conclude the F3 Championship for 2020.
