Like Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 will finally start again in Austria. In July, after months of hard work for the organisations, teams and leaders of the sports classes, the spectacle wil finally kick off again.

"First of all I would like to thank Formula 1 and the FIA for making this revised opening calendar possible in such difficult circumstances. I am very happy to be able to confirm that F2 and F3 will be able to race alongside F1 in the first eight events," said F2 and F3 CEO Bruno Michel in a statement.

F2 and F3 want even more

"It's a pity that we don't expect fans to be present at these opening events at the moment, but we are happy to be able to bring them the entertainment of our races in the safest way possible. We will also follow the very detailed safety plan of Formula 1 and the FIA, because our priority is to make sure that no risks are taken", says Michel who also looks further ahead.

"Our 2020 season will go beyond Monza. We will publish the second part of our calendar as soon as possible", concludes Michel, who, like Formula 1, is hoping for more races in 2020. The question is of course still true, but if F1 still hopes for eighteen races, then it is also possible to drive more races for the step-up classes.
