Formula 1 still has a long way to go to organise races number three and four in Great Britain. With the new regulations it will all become stricter and then a virologist also reports that the government wants people from abroad in quarantine.

Where everything is quiet around the Austrian Grand Prix, the second circuit is a bigger problem for Formula 1. Silverstone is willing to keep the races on the historic track, but the British government sees it differently. For example, virologist Jeremy Rossman proposed to keep people in quarantine for at least five days.

Consequences for Formula 1

A UK government minister has now confirmed to Forbes that the government is considering adopting this rule of self-isolation so that people entering the country can carry out multiple tests to make sure they don't have the coronavirus.

The consequences for Formula 1 cannot be predicted for the time being, but at least it does not make it any easier. In Austria they are already in quarantine and separated per team and so Formula 1 hoped to be able to continue this in England. However, now it will have to wait five days before it can start at Silverstone.
