It seems like an eternity ago, the winter test in Barcelona. With the Formula 1 season paused for now, it's a great time to take a look behind the scenes at Carlos Sainz's testing days.
A few weeks ago, everyone was still looking forward to the upcoming Formula 1 season with great curiosity. Can Max Verstappen finally compete with Lewis Hamilton , or does Mercedes have a secret weapon with the DAS system? How are the relations in midfield? We will have to wait a while for answers to these questions and we can only continue to analyse the results of the winter test for the time being.
Hard at work
The test days sometimes seem a bit useless for the fans, because you can get very little from the lap times that are driven. After all, teams all work with different test methods and tires. Drivers only have to work hard during the winter test, which is clearly visible in the behind-the-scenes look Carlos Carlosz gave us.
When breakfast is in the stomach you have to work on the track, with several Grands Prix per day when it comes to distance. That will cut down on the drivers' necks. Fortunately, there is still teammate Lando Norris for Sainz to cheer him up.
