Despite speculation over both Haas drivers' futures, Kevin Magnussen has insisted he is at a team where he can grow and develop as a driver. Haas has struggled in 2019 and are second-bottom in the Drivers' Championship.

Magnussen and his teammate Romain Grosjean have both come in for criticism this season having had two collisions at separate races, with their incident at Silverstone causing them both to retire.

Despite this Magnussen's place looks slightly more assured than his teammate's seat. In an interview with Auto Motor und Sport, the Dane insisted he is in the right place to mature as a driver.

"You do not know that," Magnussen says when asked about getting a chance at a top team

"I can only keep on going full throttle.

"I am here in a team where I can develop and mature as a driver. And with every race I get stronger."

Magnussen also emphasised his wish to one day drive with his father at Le Mans, adding: "My father does not want to stop immediately, but he will not continue for 20 years. Let's wait. I would like to do it, he would like to do it. Now we just have to find the right opportunity."
