Max Verstappen's move on Charles Leclerc has dominated the motorsport world for the last week, and now Nico Rosberg has had his say on the move.

Max Verstappen stole the show at the Red Bull Ring in Austria as he recovered from a nightmare first lap where he dropped to seventh, to win the race with a series of stunning overtakes. He overtook Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas before a dramatic move on lap 69 saw him take the lead from Charles Leclerc.

The move was investigated for almost three hours after the race by the stewards to see if Leclerc had been unfairly forced off the track. The stewards decided against any punishment and handed Verstappen his first win since Mexico last year.

As the debate continues whether it was the right decision or not, Nico Rosberg has had his say, hinting that Verstappen may have turned in late on purpose but feels it was a deserved victory.

"I think Verstappen deserves victory because he was simply super," Rosberg said as quoted by the Express.

"But I also have to say, and that sounds stupid now, I think Max drove far out on purpose and turned in very late.

"He knew from the previous lap that this would be the only way to win the race.

"In the first overtaking attempt, he left a lot of room on the outside and Leclerc was able to counter.

"He knew he had to push him out. He turned in very late."
