Alexander Albon believes his Toro Rosso team are not getting the results that they deserve so far this season, following its non-score weekend in Azerbaijan last time out.

Toro Rosso looked strong in qualifying for the Baku GP, but Albon and his team-mate Daniil Kvyat weren't able to turn their best grid positions into the top 10 this time around.

Albon had a lengthy first stint and ultimately lost some considerable ground, finishing 11th. Kvyat was hit by Daniel Ricciardo in a bizarre escape road incident late on in the race and the Russian had to retire early.

The Faenza-based squad are now ninth in the constructors' championship, above only Williams - who have comfortably the worst car on the grid. Albon believes the team has more potential than what it has shown so far this campaign.

"I think at the minute we're just not really getting results we deserve," the British-born Thai driver explained. "We've been qualifying good. Daniil proved it this weekend, that the car is quick in qualifying. And it has been quick previous to that in the other races.

"Our issue really has just been always having one thing or another - so things are not going our way. We don't have the points that our pace shows. There are definitely missed opportunities, because I think the points (situation) doesn't look great.

"But I am sure we can fight back. I know the car is quick."
