Sergio Perez has revealed that Bahrain is "exposing our limitations" and that it is going to be a "hard weekend" for Racing Point. Perez finished both practise sessions down in 14th and was a massive 1.8 seconds off the pace. The Mexican will hope that things improve today but it looks like Racing Point are set to struggle at this circuit.

"I think the circuit is probably exposing our limitations more at the moment," Perez said to Autosport.

"We seem to be further away than we were in Melbourne. We are working hard, hopefully, we can pick up a couple of tenths, a good balance, and hopefully, we can be a bit closer."

"I don't expect us to be in Q3, unless like in Melbourne most of the teams get it wrong and then we can be there," he said.

"But it is looking like a hard weekend.

"[Making Q2] will be difficult. We really need to put everything together in Q1, if we want to make it into Q2, and then as well a perfect Q2 to be able to be there."

Perez will be hoping he can surprise his team with a good performance today but a positive result is unlikely. You can keep up to date will all the sessions today with our liveblogs.
