Verstappen was slapped with a two-day public service penalty by the FIA following his post-race scrap with Esteban Ocon in parc ferme at Interlagos last season.

The Formula 1 driver took part in interactive case studies and joined the competitors’ panel alongside three-time World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx, M-Sport chief Richard Millener and BMW boss Jens Marquardt.

The Stewards event, attended by over 200 FIA representatives, also saw former F1 deputy race director Herbie Blash reunited with former colleague Charlie Whiting.

Verstappen will now take part in Red Bull’s team launch this week (February 13) ahead of pre-season testing at Circuit de Catalunya which begins on February 18.
