Red Bull boss Cristian Horner, has praised everyone at their Milton Keynes headquarters for producing their “best ever chassis.”

Red Bull won four races in 2018, two with Daniel Ricciardo and two thanks to Max Verstappen, but Ricciardo has since joined Renault who are no longer providing Red Bull’s engine.

Horner paid tribute to the team back at their headquarters in Milton Keynes for producing the chassis which helped them to their wins in 2018.

“Hats off to everyone at Milton Keynes for arguably producing one of our best ever chassis,” Horner said to the official F1 website.

"If you look at the other users with the same engine, there’s a world of difference."

Honda's UK base is not far from HQ and Horner referenced how this has helped since the two joined forces.

“Obviously, Honda are based in Japan, but their UK base is just around the corner from us in Milton Keynes.

“We’ve obviously got a huge amount of discussion going on between the groups.” Added Horner.

Red Bull enter 2019 with Honda following their split with Renault and the British boss explained how they’d been working with the Toro Rosso testing so they don’t go into the new season blind.

“So far it’s all been very positive and I think we’ve found a very healthy working environment – that we’ve been nurturing through the relationship with Red Bull technology, Toro Rosso and Honda – that we don’t go into next year completely afresh.”
