Daniel Ricciardo has said his final farewell to Red Bull Racing, visiting the team's factory in Milton Keynes on Friday.

Ricciardo made the shock decision to sign for Renault for the 2019 season, replacing Carlos Sainz at the French team.

The Aussie makes the switch after over 10 years at Red Bull Racing after joining the junior programme ahead of the 2008 season; racing with its senior team since 2014, where he replaced Mark Webber.

Ricciardo's last official day at Red Bull started with a ride on drift bikes around the facility with team-mate Max Verstappen, before both of the drivers then completed an autograph session with members of Red Bull which lasted nearly two hours.

Team principal Christian Horner then addressed the team as usual, with the post-grand prix debrief for the final two races of the season. Then a '#CheersDan' highlights video was played in the background; celebrating Ricciardo's tenure with the team.

Speaking in a Q&A a day before his final farewell, Ricciardo explained that he changed the 'Honey Badget' decal on his helmet for the race in Abu Dhabi - adding wings and a can of Red Bull to pay tribute to his team.

"The wings are significant for Red Bull but also for my departure," Ricciardo explained. "I thought it would be a nice little gesture. Honey Badger, he's sipping some Red Bull and basically saying cheers for the memories."
