Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has predicted that his team may benefit from the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union next year.

Ferrari are one of only three teams not to base themselves in the UK.

With Brexit set to restrict the free movement of workers between Britain and Europe, there could be numerous visa issues for engineers working in the sport after March 2019.

Arrivabene believes this may play to Scuderia's advantage, though, claiming it could help his team to attract more top talent to Maranello.

"Looking at the situation into the future, I'm thinking about the solution for the overall Formula One," Arrivabene said last week. "If everything is going in the direction that is announced at the moment, I suspect that in the near future we will find a lot of people that they're knocking on the door of Maranello."

However, the Brexit deal remains unclear currently, with the British government needing to get approval for its proposed plan to avoid a sharp "no deal" split with the European Union.

"I have (faith) that they will be able, the proper authority, they will be able to find a solution," Arrivabene added. "It's not really the best scenario, talking about the overall Formula One, so I gope they find a solution.

"Not only for Formula 1 in general. (It should be able to) accommodate any kind of historical cooperation, and is going to look forward for the future and think about the best development for all of us."
