Valtteri Bottas topped FP2 as he prevented the two Red Bulls getting a second consecutive one-two in practice. The Finn finished with a respectable 1:37:236 and seemed to have the bit between his teeth as he aims to get a first win of the season at the final Grand Prix of the year

The Red Bulls of Verstappen and Ricciardo failed to repeat their impressive first session but still managed to finish second and third. Ricciardo is racing for Red Bull for the last time before he moves to Renault.

Lewis Hamilton had a quiet session as he finished fourth as he failed to match his teammate's pace.

The Ferraris continued to struggle as the Scuderia finished fifth and sixth as they focused on testing for next season. They continued to have their engines turned down as they normally do on a Friday but it continued to be a disappointing end to the season despite the year holding so much promise.

Sergey Sirotkin confirmed on Thursday he wouldn’t be racing in Formula 1 next season after it was confirmed the Robert Kubica and George Russel would be their drivers next year. His week didn’t get any better as he propped up the leaderboard almost 4 seconds off the pace.

Several drivers struggled to deal with the ‘sausage kerb’ at turn 20 with Leclerc and Verstappen both having floor damage concerns after running wide. As the session went on many took the corner with far more caution in order to avoid causing damage and to preserve tyres.
