Sauber boss says his team aren't really a Ferrari-b

When Sauber became Alfa Romeo-Sauber the cooperation between Ferrari and themselves became closer. Fred Vasseur said Sauber won't act as a full Ferrari b team in the style of Red Bull and Toro Rosso.

"No, absolutely not. It is much more important that we as a Sauber being, benefit from all of our own built-up facilities," the boss told Motorsport.

"We have spent years building a decent wind tunnel and associated facilities, so we will not outsource the parts that are made on this basis to Ferrari.

"Although we have been working closely with it, I do not see that we would become a B-team."

Haas seem to follow the Ferrari b-team much more closely. They have bought almost every part they can from Ferrari and it has been successful. They're within touching distance of fourth place with just four races left.
