For a team in just their third season in Formula 1, finishing in fifth-place will be impressive. The American team could go one step further and knock Renault off the 'best of the rest' spot. Eight points separate the two teams. But what we do know is, Haas are growing rapidly. Driver Kevin Magnussen insists this is down to experience.

“I think there are a couple of things that stand out this year. One of them is, obviously, just experience,” said Magnussen in an interview on the checkered flag.

“The team has been growing every year. Everyone is using their experience better and better, while at the same time, gaining more experience."

Magnussen has scored the bulk of the team's points this season. Up until Austria, he was the solitary earner. 53 points put him right in contention for a 7th place finish. He's tied with Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg.

Ahead of the race next weekend, Magnussen hopes to be able to attack to the cars full potential and delight their fans.

“There’s absolutely an extra will, or motivation, to do well in the U.S.A. We always try our best. We’re always on maximum attack to get the best result possible," added Magnussen.
