Max Verstappen, the flying Dutchman, regained his form after a difficult start to the 2018 season. After facing plenty of criticism, Verstappen went on to grab Red Bull's first victory on their home circuit: the Red Bull Ring.

"It went pretty well in the races before, but of course it's great to have a first home win for Red Bull on the Red Bull ring," Verstappen reflected.

"All the high people were there and I rode with great support from the orange legion. That made it all very special."

The orange army of fans became one of the images of the season. Though the results weren't replicated, the Dutch fans travelled to both Belgium Grand Prix and the German Grand Prix. He goes on to thank this support which has helped him pick up 148 championship points.

"It is great to see so much support worldwide. Austria is not exactly around the corner compared to the Netherlands, but there were so many people travelling back then. Very nice to see."

Verstappen turns 21 on race day in Russia. Next season he will tick over the 100 Grands Prix barrier.

"I am still very young and I will undoubtedly only get faster through more experience. Our goal for next year is to create a more competitive package and to see what we can do with it ", Verstappen concludes.
