Sergio Perez's future looks to be wrapped up in the coming days if the rumour mill is to be believed. The Mexican is currently without a drive going into 2019 but the latest gossip places Perez at the Force India team in 2019 despite Lawrence Stroll's investment linking son Lance with the team.

Both Perez and teammate Esteban Ocon have not been confirmed for 2019 and the investment by a consortium led by Stroll led many to believe that Lance Stroll would be at the team for 2019, but according to one insider that may not the case.

"I just talked to Checo," said Fox journalist Luis Manuel Lopez at an event in Mexico.

"He confirmed that there are only days left for his automatic extension at Force India."

"It’s going to be a very attractive team in 2019."

Where that would leave Ocon and Stroll remains to be seen, with rumours suggesting that Ocon could yet be on the move to McLaren to partner with Carlos Sainz. That would leave Stoffel Vandoorne without a seat and the highly rated McLaren junior driver, Lando Norris, on the outside looking in.

A move to Toro Rosso could be on the cards for Norris, with Brendon Hartley seemingly unlikely to be kept on by Red Bull for a race seat next season and with Pierre Gasly seemingly the obvious choice for Daniel Ricciardo's replacement at Red Bull for next year.

Whatever happens, it will continue to be a busy 'summer break' in Formula One.
