Raikkonen: There is no bullsh*t between me and Vettel

Raikkonen: "There is no bullsh*t between me and Vettel"

As the season rolls on, it begins to look more and more likely that Kimi Raikkonen will extend his contract at Ferrari. His current deal runs out at the end of this season, but the soon to be 39-year-old believes his relationship with Vettel helps his chances to stay with the reds.

If the Finn is to stay in 2019, he will turn 40 before the seasons' end. In an interview with Sport Bild, he talks about his relationship with Vettel.

"We’re a good pair, a good match. There’s no problem at all between us, ever. I think that’s a really big bonus for the team and for us to just enjoy our job," Raikkonen said.

"Seriously, we’ve always got along well. With him, there is no politics or other bullshit, but a normal male friendship.”

The pair crashed into each other at Singapore last year, but this didn't change the relationship between the two.

“He is very straightforward and success has not changed him. Even after our crash in Singapore in 2017, there were no arguments or silence. He’s a guy who can say it was his mistake, and I’m the same."

It sounds like Kimi wants to stay, and Ferrari would be wise to keep him.
