Kevin Magnussen reveals his delight with finishing seventh in qualifying for the British Grand Prix.

Magnussen says he is pleased to take 'pole' position of the 'B' championship at Silverstone.

The Haas driver was referring to Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull being so out of reach to the other teams, that it is a mini-league for the other sides.

Magnussen claims that the focus is now on being the best of the rest and himself and team mate Romain Grosjean ensured Haas were in a solid position.

"This is good fun," Magnussen revealed about the 'B' championship.

"We have this 'B' championship that we are focused on with all the midfield teams. It's really entertaining."

When Magnussen talks about the 'midfield teams', he's referring to the likes of Renault, Haas, McLaren, Force India etc.

Haas sit 13 points adrift of Renault, who are currently top of the 'B' league.

"There's a lot of pressure because it's all so close, but we nailed it today with P7 and P8, with Haas the best of the rest.

"It's a pole position in the 'B' championship, so I'm really happy."

Magnussen acknowledges the fact that he has to focus on being the 'best of the rest' with the drivers from the top teams likely to disappear into the distance early on.

"You're not really looking ahead - we'll be looking behind - so it's completely like being in pole position," Magnussen said.

"The guys in front, they're just going to go ahead and disappear."
