On the teams, 50th Grand Prix race, Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen delivered their greatest ever result in Formula 1. Grosjean scored his first points of the 2018 season which leapfrogged himself four places in the drivers' championship.

It's fair to say the French driver has made a few silly mistakes in the opening half of the season, but today is a day where he can feel better. Finishing fourth, Grosjean picked up the bulk of Haas' 22 points total from Austria.

Haas are now into 5th place in the constructors' championship ahead of McLaren and just 13 points behind Renault. Grosjean said after the race how proud he was to be able to give something back to the team.

"Definitely feeling better than we have been recently, it is great, our 50th Grand Prix, finishing P4 and P5 [which is] a best-ever result for the team," Grosjean said in an interview on PlanetF1.

"I got a lot of criticism, but the team has always been behind me but this weekend was just what we wanted to stop that negative spiral and eventually try and go back to a positive one.

"Just going back home and knowing my boys are proud of me, it makes me go 'yes!'"

The jubilations started in the American garage yesterday when Grosjean himself qualified ahead of Daniel Ricciardo. But the 32-year-old had plenty to do in the fight around turn one.

"It was not an easy first lap because all the big boys were around and they were really trying to push. I knew Seb would try everything he could go through, and Daniel as well. I just hung in there, tried to avoid any trouble and then I knew the race was long," added Grosjean.

"There are small things we could have done better here and there, but generally P4 and P5 [sic] is what matters at the end."
