Romain Grosjean is happy to just get some reps under his belt in testing after his nightmare performance in Barcelona, as he spun out and crashed in the very first lap, taking two cars with him into his grave.

Grosjean was handed a three-place penalty as well as two penalty points on his racing licence for the Monaco Grand Prix in two weeks time for that crash in Barcelona. Nico Hulkenberg and Pierre Gasly, the two victims of that crash, were very critical of Grosjean afterwards, saying that Grosjean needs to "get his act together".

"I think it was important to get back on the horse after not being able to complete the Grand Prix on Sunday," he said.

"So feelings were good."

Tuesday, Grosjean completed 129 laps (without crashing into anything or anyone) and even had a stint on the new hypersoft. He ended the day fourth fastest.

"It’s been a very good day and a very productive day for the team.

"We’ve done a lot of mileage and we haven’t had any issues with the car.

"We did some very good testing with the car.

"We’ve learned a lot about the different tyres and setup work, which you don’t get to do on a race weekend.

"The feeling was super good."

Hopefully, Grosjean can keep it on the track next time and show us his talents, because believe or not, he is a pretty talented driver.
