George Russell Drops Ferrari Comment As He Breaks Silence on Valtteri Bottas Joining Mercedes
George Russell is eager to learn about Ferrari’s power unit from Valtteri Bottas, who has returned to Mercedes as a reserve driver for the 2025 Formula 1 season. Bottas, who raced with a Ferrari engine at Sauber for the past three years, has rejoined Mercedes after being dropped by Audi F1, which is set to take over Sauber’s operations next year. His return to the Silver Arrows comes as the team navigates a significant transition following Lewis Hamilton’s departure to Ferrari and the promotion of 18-year-old Andrea Kimi Antonelli to a full-time race seat alongside Russell.
