Young Verstappen severely tested: 'Jos added lead to his kart'
Before Max Verstappen made it into Formula 1, or anywhere close to it, he had his father, Jos Verstappen, training him to be the next world champion. In the early years of his karting career, the Verstappens worked with entrepreneur Richard Pex. According to Pex, Jos Verstappen would go out of his way to make sure his son was preparing for the harsh motorsport world waiting for him.
