Aston Martin confirm contract extension for Stroll

© XPB  Phillip van Osten 27/06/2024 at 11:0727/06/2024 at 11:19 As expected, Aston Martin F1 has confirmed that a contract extension will see Lance Stroll continue to race with the Silverstone-based outfit for the coming seasons. Despite the Canadian’s subdued results with his father’s team so far this year, there was never really any doubt about the 25-year-old’s F1 future. Stroll has struggled since last season to race on a par with teammate Fernando Alonso. This relative underperformance has undeniably cost Aston points and led many to conclude that the team, given its championship ambitions, could not afford in the long-term such a disparity between its two drivers.
