Hulkenberg penalised after dicey Monaco GP race: 'I was all-in!'

Article To news overview © XPBimages Nico Hulkenberg had few regrets with his Monaco Grand Prix efforts after attempting to carve his way through the field from a P18 grid start. The Haas driver was one of the big gainers on the opening lap of the race, and climbed a couple of positions before an overambitious pass on Logan Sargeant at Mirabeau drew the attention of the stewards. He had pitted at the end of Lap 1 for a switch to Hard tyres in order to go to the end of the race, but the mid-race rain showers interrupted that plan. Both he and teammate Kevin Magnussen lost out in the intensifying rain, with neither driver making a tyre strategy call capable of vaulting them up the order....
