Russell receives penalty points from stewards after Perez incident

Article To news overview © XPBimages George Russell has been handed penalty points by the stewards after colliding with Sergio Perez in the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver was left "kicking himself" over the incident, having looked on course for a podium result when he made an error at the Mirabeau corner soon after pitting for Intermediate tyres in the wet conditions. As he returned to the track, Russell made contact with the Red Bull of Perez. The Briton was given a five-second penalty and eventually finished the race in P5.
