F1: Maffei urges team to agree Concorde while the 'iron is hot'

Liberty Media CEO and President, Greg Maffei has said the sport's stakeholders should agree to extend the current Concorde agreement, and 'strike while the iron is hot'. Clearly, some are keener than others. 'I think there's a consensus among the teams and the FIA and ourselves that now might be a good time to try and strike while the iron is hot,' he said during an investor conference call on Friday. 'There's certainly no obligation to do that,' he admitted, 'and there's certainly no risk if that doesn't get done.
