The past two season in Formula 1 have proved tricky for Haas and the Schumacher family, as Mick Schumacher had a challenging time at the team. Mick failed to live up to expectations at Haas and was dropped by the team at the end of the 2022 season in favour of Nico Hulkenberg.  Throughout his time at the team, Mick crashed a number of times, costing the team valuable money, with Guenther Steiner revealing the expensive incidents were the reason for ending the German driver’s contract. Ralf Schumacher repeatedly spoke out in defence of his nephew during the past two years, occasionally having harsh words for Steiner that went beyond on-track activities.
