Perez holds on for victory over Verstappen in Saudi Arabia
Sergio Perez overcame a poor start to claim victory in the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix over Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen, who had to overcome starting the race from P15 after problems in qualifying. Fernando Alonso joined them on the podium, having snatched the lead from Perez at the start only to be overtaken again on lap 4, even before he served a five second penalty for lining up incorrectly on the grid.
