Verstappen does the Friday double in Saudi GP practice
Article To news overview © XPBimages Max Verstappen completed a Friday Formula 1 practice clean-sweep by going fastest for Red Bull in Saudi Arabian Grand Prix second practice. The World Champion came off a strong performance in the opening session to edge out Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez under the lights at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. A 1:29.603s effort during the qualifying simulation runs was enough for 2022 race winner Verstappen to cement top spot as Alonso did not initially get a clean run. Esteban Ocon and George Russell rounded out the top five as Ferrari's poor weekend continued with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz ninth and 10th, with Lewis Hamilton outside the top 10 in...
