Helmut Marko makes big Ferrari engine claim in warning to Max Verstappen
Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko believes Fernando Alonso will 'make Aston Martin number two in Formula 1', with the Austrian trusting the double world champion to elevate the Silverstone-based team above Mercedes and Ferrari. Alonso has started 2023 emphatically, with the Spaniard having claimed his first podium since the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix at the season-opener in Bahrain. The 41-year-old's podium on his Aston Martin debut was the team's first since the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with his pace on the opening day in Saudi Arabia having suggested that another could be on the cards this weekend.
