German ex-F1 racer blames Haas for stacking the odds against Mick Schumacher

Mick Schumacher’s future in Formula 1 had been up in the air ever since the summer break, when Haas stalled on offering the young German a new contract to tie him down for 2023. Haas had told Schumacher that they needed to see an improvement in his performances if he wanted to keep his seat for next season, and after months of deliberation the team announced prior to the final race of the season that they had opted to make a change. The German was given the ultimatum of scoring a reasonable haul of points before the end of the year, however small mistakes and damage to his car prevented Schumacher from doing so as the season came to a close.
