Originally set for a 8pm local time start, a cloudburst arrived about 18:45pm local, leaving parts of the track flooded. The Safety Car toured the track on a series of re-con laps with cars still in their garages and the start procedure delayed. At the original start time, the FIA confirmed that the pit lane would open at 20:25 local (13:25pm BST). The 61 laps of the Singapore Grand Prix itself will begin with the formation lap at 21:05 local - 14:05pm BST.
