Capito convinced Abu Dhabi crash 'affected' Latifi's driving

Williams boss Jost Capito believes that Nicholas Latifi's crash last year in Abu Dhabi, that set in motion the dramatic finale at Yas Marina, has had an enduring effect on the Canadian's driving. The immediate consequence of Latifi's crash in the closing stages of the race was the triggering of the safety car and the ill-fated procedure that turned the event on its head and allowed Max Verstappen to pip Lewis Hamilton to the world title on the final lap. But in the days and weeks that followed the dramatic finale, Latifi was targeted and bullied on social media by those who saw the Williams driver as the source of Hamilton's defeat.
