FIA to submit updated 2023 technical regulations to World Motor Sport Council

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem announced an updated version of the Formula 1 technical regulations will be submitted to the World Motor Sport Council this week. This announcement came in line with the FIA's action to address 'porpoising', the bouncing phenomenon that has affected the 2022 F1 cars that employ ground-effect to produce downforce. Formula 1 has gone down the ground-effect path as part of their efforts to improve the racing spectacle, as the new cars should be able to follow each other more closely, something the 2022 season has shown to be true up to now.
