Magnussen reflects on 'strange' pattern during 2022 F1 season

Article To news overview © XPBimages Kevin Magnussen admits that he finds it "strange" to have been shown the black and orange flag twice in recent times, despite not having seen it before in his F1 career. The flag – which is used to indicate that a driver has a mechanical issue and must return to the pits for it to be resolved – was brought out for Magnussen during the Hungarian Grand Prix after he made contact with the McLaren of Daniel Ricciardo at Turn 1. This meant that Magnussen was forced to make a pit-stop on Lap 5, which dropped him to the back of the field.
