Sainz suggests cool temperatures impacted Ferrari pace in Hungary

Carlos Sainz believes that Sunday's lower temperatures and track conditions at the Hungaroring impacted Ferrari's race pace. Sainz and teammate Charles Leclerc spent the first part of the Hungarian Grand Prix trailing Mercedes poleman and race leader George Russell. But as the second round of pit stop rotations set in, both Ferrari drivers lost ground, albeit for different reasons. Leclerc lost out after Ferrari opted to put the Monegasque on a set of hard tyres that squandered his prospects, while Sainz simply lost pace and drifted lower to finish fourth.
